Parade of Awesomeness

Sandy is an awesome robotic assistant that I’ve been using for a couple of months now. Even though I know Sandy is just an excellent piece of free productivity software running on a website, I’m going to refer to it as “her” throughout this post.
You can talk to Sandy via email, Twitter, SMS message, or even over the phone using Jott. Simply send her a message like “Remind me about my brother’s baseball game on Thursday.” On Thursday morning, you’ll get a reminder via email, or via twitter or text message if you prefer.
Sandy is really good at parsing these messages: You can send messages like “Remind me to pick up the pizza in twenty minutes” or “Remember to call Joe tomorrow evening.” There’s a handy cheat sheet you can refer to if Sandy is having trouble understanding your message.
I find that the Sandy is best suited for keeping track of reminders, but she can also keep track of todo lists, contact information, and even notes and lists.
As I said, even though I know Sandy is just a piece of software, using the service feels completely natural, as if I was actually emailing some imaginary secretary in the next room. It’s the next best thing to hiring an actual assistant to help you with your life.
